Zsófi Barabás is known for paintings in which there are organic shapes and geometric patterns – all in intensive colours and with a material-like texture. She is a Hungarian abstract painter. Her intertwined lines unite into shapes, which in turn transform into paintings. Non-figurative as her motifs are, they have consistent references to real-life shapes. The spectator cannot help associating her motifs with maps, landscapes, interconnected body part and tiny little beings that you can only discover when using a microscope.
